The top netbooks range in price from $280 for the Asus Eee 901 up to $450 for the Hp Mini 2140.  The Acer Aspire will run about $320 and the MSI Wind will cost around $370. 

Once you decide which netbook you want to buy comparison shop on a site like shopping.com and also go to the brand sites directly for Dell, HP, Lenovo, and Toshiba.  If you are patient you can find some good deals but the netbooks are hot right now so there is less discounting on the netbooks than on other computers.

If you are looking for the best deal look for either a refurbished model or an older model.  For instance if you buy the older Asus Eee 900 instead of the newer Asus Eee901 you can save about $75.  Refurbished computers are a good option especially if you are buying them direct from the brand site.
