Mini laptops, also known as netbooks, and mini notebooks, are an emerging category of portable computers targeted at users on the go.  Devices in this category are usually based on low power chip sets such as the Intel ATOM or Via C7-M, which allows manufacturers to make these computers at a weight of less than 3 pounds.  Some of these mini laptops come in a range of colors, sport RAM and hard drive sizes that are close to conventional laptops, allow you to run full featured operating systems such as Windows Vista and can cost as much as $1000 when fully configured.  Other models have smaller solid state hard drives, less RAM and a stripped down Linux operating system in order to bring the price point down to less than $400.  All of these netbooks feature built in wireless connectivity.  The mini laptops shown below are ranked in search popularity order. You can click on the model links to see more information including pricing, specifications and reviews.
